Laura Allen was a incredibly gifted bay area singer songwriter who rose to prominence in the early 70s along with RJFOX Laura appeared on David Crosby’s album “if I could only remember my name” and launched a solo career that included three albums and live appearances with many bay area artists When Joel was developing the concept for Starcrossed It was Stephen Barncard who brought Laura and Joel together, setting the stage for Joel to team Laura with 

Sherry Fox, thus giving Starcrossed it’s signature sound, featuring these two dynamic female lead vocalists 

Laura also appeared on Starcrossed Live! Joel and Laura and Stephen remained close until her untimely passing in 2008
